Hi, my name is Tucker , I've been a very sick baby calf. On July 11th my momma (#34) ran away from our herd to give birth to me out in the woods. Little did she know that this would cause great danger to my health and also hers. My adopted human Becky, found me and my momma on July 13th and put us back in with our herd, she kept a very close eye on me and momma, and within 12 hours she noticed that I wasn't feeling very good, so she took me and momma to a place called NC State Vet School. There they did all types of tests on me and momma. See my momma hurt her udder, that's where I drink my milk from, when she was in the woods trying to find a place comfortable enough to have me, so I was only getting milk from 1 quarter, there are 4 quarters but 3 were damaged. So I didn't get enough colostrum to make me strong and healthy. Momma ended up getting mastitis and my human was sad because she had to take my momma away from me so we could both be healthy, but I kept running a fever and feeling bad. So I had to go back to the Vet School and had belly surgery and many more tests. My human is very sad because I don't feel good and it's taking a long time to find out why I don't. And I feel bad because all the money my doctor bills are costing is money my human needs to buy hay for our herd for the winter. If you know my human then you know she never asks for help but is always willing to help out. And I'm pretty sure she's overwhelmed and worried about my recovery. So any help you give will go directly to my and my momma's hospital bills, and if by GOD'S grace there is more than enough, then it will go to the rest of the herd. THANK YOU
