Update 3:22 PM CT scan went well and he is currently undergoing surgery. Hi, My name is Frankie and this is my fur baby Thor. I rescued Thor 4 years ago from a shelter in Waller Texas. He is originally from Oklahoma and was sold to a farmer who sold him on Craigslist to someone who neglected him. Thor ended up running away and was on the street for an unknown amoutn of time. Once Waller's shelter picked him up they had to shave his entire coat because of how matted he was. He was given to a family for fostering who had several other pets and one of them ended up biting Thor on his shoulder blade and he required stitches. I picked him up the next day, took him in and helped him recover. He’s been a healthy pup ever since. Stubborn but healthy, loved and spoiled nevertheless. On the evening of July 3rd, I came home and found Thor not breathing properly. I immediately took him to Conroe Emergency Clinic where he was declared code blue. They gave him a 10% chance of surviving. They had to intubate him and put him in a coma. They quickly diagnosed he had Spontaneous Pneumothorax. Essentially air is escaping his lungs and leaking into his chest cavity causing him a great deal of pain and distress. After two days at the emergency clinic, they did a plasma transfusion but air was still leaking so he was transported to Gulf Coast in Houston. He is currently being monitored 24/7 and has the leaked air suctioned out of his body hourly. He has been hospitalized for 3 days now and although stable he will be needing open chest surgery. The surgery is set to make sure Thor comes back home and leads a healthy life. Please help return Thor home. All donations will be going to his hospital bills in both Conroe Emergency and Gulf Coast. Thank you all. I love you all. Thor loves you all.
