Daisy is a beautiful, feisty 5 year old Boxer who loves her family and going out to explore the trails with friends. She is always cuddling up with her parents who give her the world, and making sure her big brothers know who's boss. Irene and Dave are the most beautiful people we know. They are the first to help others, and give to many organizations regularly. They are so selfless and live for their dogs Diesel, Draco and Daisy. They work hard to provide for them, and spend all of their free time together as a family making the best memories. If you follow on instagram, you will feel the love through their stories and posts together. There isn't enough good to be said about this family. We all love them so much. March this year Daisy started to show some signs of a upset stomach-diarrhea, vomiting, refusing food. Irene and Dave tried countless brands of food to try to help her, they tried every type of food (raw, fresh, homecooked, kibble, wet food) and brand that was recommended and it didn't help. If it did, it was only for a couple days and then Daisy would get sick again, or refuse the food. They reached out to many different hollistic companies as well, where they tried countless remedies to try to help her. Daisy was losing weight and not improving. Over the next few months, they spent thousands of dollars on food, supplements, and treatments. They saw multiple vets, ran all of the tests, but ultimately needed to be seen by the OVC. The OVC had a very long waitlist and Daisy continued to lose weight rapidly and their vet had to beg the OVC to have her seen. Daisy finally got into the OVC at the end of June where they took a biopsy and spent a few nights under 24 hour care. July 6th they received a call nobody ever wants to receive, Daisy has small cell lymphoma which is a cancer that is very rarely seen in dogs. If you know Daisy, you know she fights, and she is going to continue fighting and start treatment strong. She will be doing chemo and taking medications regularly to fight this heartbreaking disease. We started this fundraiser to help Irene and Dave, as they have spent thousands of dollars on food alone. Supplements, hollistic treatments and all of the vet visits quickly add up to an overwhelming number very quickly. Irene and Dave would do anything and have done everything to help Daisy get better. They would never ask for help themselves, but they are not alone in this fight. We have all been here with love, prayers, and the good vibes for this beautiful family. We wanted to help them finanically as well. They deserve every dollar donated and more. We hope with donations, it can ease some of the financial stress and they can continue to put all of their energy into healing Daisy and spending time together as a family. We know times are tough for everyone financially, every dollar makes a difference and adds up quickly. When our dog community comes together, we can make big things happen. Please donate if you're able, share, and continue to send all the love and prayers to this family. We love you guys! With love, Caitlyn & Veronica
