Hello! We’re a crew of students raising money for our capstone project, a ten-minute short film that we’re all super passionate about and want the best for. The script for this film was developed over two years by our Director, Rohan Daly and encapsulates a beautiful story about a young man named Matthew with Autism. Written in the likeness of a true story, our film highlights the reality of living with Autism as a young adult, as Matthew struggles with the change of his older sister getting married and moving away from home. We wanted to tell a tasteful story that gives a voice to both Matthew and his sister Emily, showing both perspectives of the big day. If you donate, your money will go towards the production design and cast of our film, to make the scene we set look spectacular! It’s important to us to tell a story that is a true representation of the disabled community and their families, as there are so few creative media that empathetically and respectfully tell their stories. There are even fewer that don’t vilify or shame their disabled characters. Our film endeavours to change this stereotype and we aim to knock it out of the park! You can follow our journey on our socials: @TheArtOfLettingGo.Film Thank you so much for taking the time to hear about our film, and we hope you’ll be inspired to help out!
