Team, As some of you already know, my son decided to play football this year. After researching the different programs in our area, we decided it would be best for him to play in a league that exposed him to families closer aligned to the socioeconomic status Natalia and I grew up in. Interestingly, it is the same program I played in when I first started playing football in the 6th grade. It’s only been a few months, but we can already tell the exposure has made him acutely aware of different family dynamics and how blessed he is. After being around the families and seeing the struggles that some of them face daily – single mothers with two jobs and going to school, families being evicted from their homes, not being able to bring their kids to practice because they can’t afford the gas; I have decided to sponsor the team and would appreciate any support you can provide to this cause. I have already received a commitment from a buddy of mine that owns a successful Commercial flooring company to donate to the team, and I will create a LFEBridge account. Please note NONE of this money will go toward anything for Santiago or any family that has the means to pay for the items listed below. This money will go to the families that need it the most. Items Needed for Players: Registration fees for families – currently 3 need support $250 per player registration fees Uniforms (jersey, pants and socks) 15 players need some level of support - $200 per uniform (home/away) Helmets painted for the kids $50 per helmet I have already purchased 2 helmets and a pair of shoulder pads for boys on the team and will donate to the LFEBridge as well. Please note if you are comfortable donating any dollar amount is appreciated.
