Help Sydney Langley and Action Ace-D4K on their journey to Lendon Gray's Dressage4Kids Winter Intensive Program. About Me: My name is Sydney Langley and I am an ambitious young dressage rider. I recently acquired my United States Dressage Federation Bronze Medal and in furthering my education, I applied for the Winter Intensive Program. I strive to treat my horses with kindness and respect, working to achieve a partnership built on trust and understanding. About Picnic in the Park: “Darby” is a 13yr old Percheron cross gelding. Together we earned our United States Dressage Federation Bronze medal. We have been a team for four years and have grown to know each other really well. He has a heart of gold and work ethic to match. We hope to achieve our United States Dressage Federation Silver Medal in the coming show season meaning we have accomplished four tests above 60%, two at the fourth level and two at Prix Saint George. About the Winter Intensive Program: The Dressage4Kids Winter Intensive Training Program provides an overall educational program for riders under age 26. WIT is not for the casual dressage rider, but for aspiring young riders who are committed to achieving excellence. This program takes determination, drive, and passion. The participants will have a full schedule of learning that includes fitness, theory, tests, riding lessons, field trips, and lectures on many subjects. It involves three months in Wellington, FL of pure growth and first-hand experience to open the young rider’s eyes to how they can best reach their full potential as a dressage rider. For more information about the WIT program: https://dressage4kids.org/programs/winter-intensive-training-program.html What your donation will contribute to: Your donation will help to offset the cost of attending this program. The monthly board and training fee is over three thousand, not including my housing. On top of this fee, I will be responsible for my horse's supplements, grain, special hay, shoeing, vet care, show fees, and extras such as fly spray, shampoo, carrots, etc. Your donation will allow me to experience this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. What this opportunity means to me: The opportunity to attend the WIT program is a dream come true. This program will allow me to make connections with many of the best dressage riders in the nation and many internationally recognized coaches. This opportunity will also help me to take the next step toward my goal of eventually competing on a Junior/Young rider team at the North American Young Rider Championship.
