This group of 12 boys from South Windsor Little League Baseball has found themselves for the 2nd year in a row advancing to the Eastern Regional Little League Tournament after winning the State Championship on 7/24 to become TEAM CONNECTICUT. A little about this team 45 days ago this team was assembled as top performers to represent the Town of South Windsor in the 11U District 8 CT. Little League Tournament. After 34 practices and 10 games these 12 boys have won a District 8 Title, a Section 4 Title and last night they won their 2nd straight State Championship with a 12-2 win over Simsbury for a bid to represent South Windsor as TEAM CONNECTICUT in Beverly Massachusetts. EXPENSES This amazing accomplishment has landed these boys in the Eastern Regional Tournament being held in Beverly, MA. just north of Boston next week from 8/1-8/5. They will be competing against the surrounding 12 States Making up the Eastern Regional Little League Tournament. Along with that come many unanticipated expenses in Travel, Hotel and Food for families for 1 week. Any contribution is SO greatly appreciated! We want to make sure these boys and their families are able to attend and enjoy this event that the kids will remember for the rest of their lives. Sports have the potential to teach today's youth the value of hard work, perseverance, friendship, camaraderie and TEAMWORK which will stick with them for the rest of their lives. HISTORY MADE 169 CT Towns (62) 11U Little League AllStar Teams South Windsor remains undefeated 10-0 in 2024 Tournament play and now advances to the Eastern Regional hosted by Massachusetts District 15. This team is 21-0 in State Play over the past 2 years. South Windsor will represent our community as TEAM CONNECTICUT and compete in the METRO Pool. State Champions from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington DC. will compete all week for the Mid-Atlantic, New England and Metro Championships, with the end goal of Eastern Region Champion.
