Please support my colleague and friend Chè Burgess. In March 2004 Chè’s father died unexpectedly, and due to Ché's circumstances at the time, he was not able to be present at his Dad’s funeral. As a result of this reality, Chè has not been able to properly grieve this most profound loss in his life. This reality has significantly affected Chè's mental health, including him being formally diagnosed with depression. Chè is working through this significant loss in therapy. But he knows that if he could get to Bermuda and acknowledge this loss by visiting his Dad’s grave site, processing this loss with his siblings in person (who reside in Bermuda), and continue to put in the critical emotional work behind this loss, then this will do a lot for him in terms of his overall mental health. As a Mental Health Advocate and friend, I would like to support my brother to get the help he needs so that he can more efficiently heal from the loss of his Dad. Please note: before this campaign went live, the narrative was pre-approved by Chè.
