Hi my name is Rae and I’ve just come across some saddening news. My loving 10 month old kitten, Mr. Sweet Face has been diagnosed with a condition called Peritoneal-Pericardial Diaphragmatic Hernia (PDDH). In other words, his intestines are wrapping around his heart and lungs unfortunately. His Dr said it probably is congenital and will have a decreased life.  When i heard this news, I didn’t know what to do first. In the short amount of time of rescuing him, I have formed a strong connection with him. When i researched more about this condition I found out it causes him difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, infrequent bowel movements and will have to limit his play time with his siblings which saddens him and I. This condition can shorten his life span and decrease his quality of life. I would like to give my baby the opportunity to live a healthy life. HOWEVER, there is a surgery that can fix this, unfortunately it’s a costly one… The general vet clinic is not able to perform this surgery due to the difficulty and risk of the procedure. This means I will have to take my baby to the speciality center where the procedure will cost roughly $8,000. This can be stressful when I’m in my 20’s paying for school, helping care for family members and other bills. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart for help for my sweet baby boy. If you could even donate $1-$10 that would help out a lot. If there is extra money after the procedure, all of it will go towards other donations and people in need. Please share, like and donate if possible. Everything little thing helps, please and thank you. With love, A girl and her sweet orange cat
