I landed in Chisinau, Moldova Tuesday, July 18 at 2:05 PM local time, luggage was only 20 hours later ;-) I’ll be here for 12 weeks, max allowed without visa - my project was extended to max allowable time to volunteer. Fundraising to help offset my expenses volunteering in Moldova with Ukrainian Refugees. Donations go towards - flights, housing, food, transportation, supplies, fees, and unknowns. Overseas volunteering has been an avocation to persue for years. Aiding Ukrainian refugees specifically since the start of the war. The local organization I am volunteering with is Moldova for Peace - Moldova for Peace (MPP) is a civic initiative created to assist refugees following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. https://www.facebook.com/moldovaforpeace They are incredible people and I love volunteering with them. They work hard, are so giving and have openly accepted me and made me feel as family. I have a long journey still in speaking and understanding Russian and Romanian - probably a life long quest but I am improving.
