Naina Singh Nepali, a dedicated member of the local guard force at the U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah, bravely served the consulate community for over 16 years. Naina's commitment to his family and community was unwavering. Mr. Nepali was an incredibly welcoming, respectful, and inclusive person, treating everyone as equals. A consummate professional, he always put the job first and was immensely proud to serve the U.S. government. Tragically, on June 28th, Naina Singh Nepali was killed when an assailant opened fire on the consulate. This devastating loss has left a void that cannot be filled in the lives of numerous family members, friends, and colleagues. He leaves behind his spouse, three sons (two of them students), and other family members who loved him. Mr. Nepali, through his work at the consulate, was the main support of those family members in Nepal. One of his sons is employed under the same guard contract in Riyadh. According to his son, Mr. Nepali was planning to retire this year and was looking forward to returning to his beloved family. Instead, the family has been dealt a painful blow. We invite you to join us in honoring the memory of Naina Singh Nepali and supporting his grieving family during this challenging time. Everything contributed to this fundraiser will be directly disbursed to Mr. Nepali's family as they strive to rebuild their lives without him. By donating to this cause, we can rally around his family in an offer of support. Your generosity will make a significant difference in alleviating their financial burdens as they work towards a brighter future. Join us in making this fundraiser a success and empowering his family with the resources and care they deserve. Local Guard Force personnel are the first line of defense for U.S. diplomats all over the world and the many guests who visit our compounds every day. Their dedication and commitment to the performance of their duties support the accomplishment of diplomatic missions and promotion of foreign policy. Please join us in supporting Naina's family; together we can honor the memory of his bravery and sacrifice and offer a tangible expression of our thanks to his loved ones. No contribution is too small. More information about who is organizing this fundraiser: The American Employees Association Facilities and Services Association (AEFSA) is a non-profit organization, which functions pursuant to the authority granted to the Secretary of State under Section 31(a) of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956, as amended. AEFSA is comprised of board members who are civilian officers and employees of the United States government at the American Consulate General Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. AEFSA operates non-government services and facilities primarily for the benefit of U.S. government employees and their eligible family members as they serve the U.S. government overseas. As the consulate community mourns Naina's death, we are facilitating donations to his widow and family from the consulate community and our friends and partners through the use of the AEFSA bank account. AEFSA will securely transfer the funds in their totality to his Nepal-based family members at the conclusion of this fundraiser. Thank you for your support.
