G'day! Welshy kelsey here. I would love to support a charity close to my heart. The Wallich (housing swansea first) Swansea Housing First provides housing and support for anyone over the age of 18, who is experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping. As this was once i in that situation at 16. A good friend and boss of mine paul odwyer who sadly passed in 2024 to save others also was a huge advocate of homelessness in Swansea who he and a friend created something special. (Tramp face) and both slept homeless on the streets many times to raise money for a charity which also led them to open a cafe 'Tramp face' to all that is welcome. I looked up to Paul, when i worked at the gym he was the co-owner. His attitude and work life balanced I admired. Always surfing/ climbing mountains/challenges, he would do anything and always bring people together and take a gang with him! About me I would love your support to raise money for a charity close to my heart and enter my biggest challenge to become an ironwoman! 03/12/23 Last year the 70.3 was completed in Western Sydney. This would be my biggest challenge with only 4.5 months to prepare & train for this. (My swimming will be the hardest leg) with the sharky waters in Western Australia! 3.9k swim, 180.2km bike & 42.2km run. I had many conversations with him and his dad and they would say 'kelsey how do you see your next few years' my response was my dream was to always go to Australia, I have made it here and in my 5th year in Australia. There was a time I went to Paul's house and he loved showing off his black toes from training and saying how full-on the training was to complete an iron man. My mission is to become that Ironwoman and complete it. Paul inspired me for both fitness and travel as so he did to many in port talbot. Any little would go towards a good cause, Thank you.
