It is with heavy hearts that we share that the Meyers Family have experienced something that no parent should ever have to suffer through. In the early hours of July 21, 2024, DJ and Alaina’s precious son, Mason Lynn, tragically passed away following a terrible accident. Our collective families hearts are irreparably broken as we, and all of those who have had the privilege of knowing and loving this sweet boy, grieve the loss of his precious life. In the midst of it all, DJ and Alaina are beyond words grateful for the outpouring of love in all the forms as they grieve this unimaginable tragedy. Mason Lynn was born on August 14, 2024; he leaves behind not just his parents but his older sister Paige (4), and baby sister Ryleigh (2 months). He was everything you’d expect of a toddler boy and more- he delighted in all things dinosaurs, trucks, Super Mario, and was never one to turn down an Oreo cookie. Mason loved to go to the pool and park, delighted in the camping adventures with his family, but most of all he loved to simply be with all of his family. There are simply no words to capture how deeply Mason is cherished or how much he will be missed. Though his life was taken all too soon, Mason has had an everlasting footprint on all who knew him; our lives are inexplicably better because he lived. Mason’s life had a purpose that is unique to all of us, and we ask that you please share your memories as a way to celebrate his beautiful life. An overwhelming number of people have already reached out in search of how they can help during this time. That alone means so much to DJ and Alaina- they will need your continued prayers, love and support more than anything in the impossible journey of healing that stretches before them. There is also the cruel, harsh reality of the sheer financial impact that this will have on their family. They by no means expect anything, but we want you to know that your generosity will aid them with the coming medical costs, counseling support for Paige, and the funeral arrangements that need to be made. Should you feel more comfortable donating in a different manner, you are welcome to reach out to us directly and we will gladly work with you one-on-one. On behalf of the Meyers family, thank you for your love, your prayers, your support and understanding; they are appreciated more than you know. Once service arrangements have been made, we will provide that update so you can join us in celebrating the life of this extraordinary little boy. Blessings to you all- hug your children and loved ones extra tightly. Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Service Update Date: Friday, August 4, 2024 Time: Seating begins at 10:00am with the service to start at 10:30am Location: New Hope Presbyterian Church 3737 New Hope Way Castle Rock, CO 80109 It is requested that everyone attending dress colorfully as to reflect Mason’s joyful and bright spirit.
