I never expected it but in 2024 through the greatest sport on earth, I met a superhero. The man wasn’t wearing a cape but rather a long beard and went by the name of Shelby Hunt. This amazing man will forever be referred to as a best friend. What followed that meeting in Dallas, Texas in preparation for a wrestling camp became a cherished experience in my life. I was able to learn so much from this amazing gentleman. He taught me how to become a better husband, father, a more compassionate friend and an overall better person. I found myself communicating with Shelby more and more for advice on how to deal with the simplest matters to some of the most difficult decisions as of late. Sadly, Shelby passed away unexpectly on the morning of July 5th in his home. His passing was completely unexpected and the tragedy left Gwen Hunt a widow with two absolutely amazing children. Please pray for the Hunt family as Gwen, Tavey, and Slayden learn to live without their best friend by their side. This family is in desperate need of prayers and could use financial support for unexpected funeral costs and helping through this very difficult transitional period. Any donation will be much appreciated and go to support the immediate needs as well as future needs of the family. We all know that Shelby would have given the shirt off his back and everything in his pockets in a similar situation. I will never forget the generosity of this man as he would purchase art work from the wrestling sisters at tournaments in an effort to keep them busy and make them feel special. Even if you do not know Shelby personally, I beg you to find the generosity to help this amazing family.
