On August 2 2024, Nicole and Claire suddenly and unexpectedly lost their beloved husband and father, Michael Atkins. As a disabled veteran, Mike served as the main breadwinner for the family and also required a dedicated full-time caregiver, a role Nicole wholeheartedly assumed for many years. His untimely passing places a significant financial strain upon Nicole. We have received many inquiries from family and friends who want to send financial support and so, this fundraiser was created. Nicole and Claire are in need of assistance with funds for funeral costs. They want to provide Mike with an honorable and memorable send-off. It is also important to them that they host a reception so that all of his family and friends can gather together to mourn his loss and celebrate his life. Additionally, Nicole wants to be sure Claire has everything she needs for a fantastic freshman year in high school. She joined the marching band, which requires payment of program fees along with funds for the group trip to Italy scheduled for the end of January. A portion of required fees and deposits have already been paid, but a substantial amount still remains. Mike would be devastated if Claire were unable to participate in this year's activities because of his passing. She was his greatest joy and he wanted her to have every opportunity to join in on life's adventures. Please consider donating if you are able to do so.
