Our beloved Ms. Lisa lost her husband Steve to pancreatic cancer this past weekend. Steve was diagnosed in the spring and made the choice to forego aggressive treatment in favor of spending quality time with his family. Most were unaware of this difficult diagnosis as Lisa wanted the focus to remain on those around her. She still managed to greet us every day with a smile. Lisa is an incredibly selfless person that helps everyone she knows. She has been Steve's main caretaker throughout his illness, while also providing the needed support to their children and grandchildren and working a second job. She has helped so many of us during difficult times and has touched the lives of thousands of students and families over the years. We would like to show her our love and support at this time by helping with funeral expenses and anything else that may be needed, allowing the family to remain focused on what is most important.
