Hello everyone, My name is Trisha I have created this go fund me account for my best friend Kayla Cooper and her fiancé Josh Cricks to help with the funeral expenses on the unexpected passing of Josh’s mom (Brenda) on August 1st, which was also her 60th birthday. Early this year Kayla, Josh and Brenda received some devastating news in regards to Brenda’s health. In February the doctors found spots on her lungs and were very concerned about lung cancer. It took a few months to set up appointments etc and Brenda had surgery on July 17th for spot removal and possible lobectomy to remove a small portion of her lung in hopes to remove the spots and prevent the cancer from spreading. The surgery went well and Brenda was able to be discharged home but unfortunately a few days later she started experiencing some difficulties breathing and ended up being admitted back to the hospital on July 24th. She had developed a pneumothorax and possible pneumonia. On August 1st things took a turn for the worst, while doctors tried to do everything they could Brenda passed away. No one expected Brenda to have these complications from surgery, Josh and Kayla were fully prepared to help her fight lung cancer so she would be able to attend their wedding in December. The unforeseen death of Josh’s mother Brenda has caused a great financial burden as Josh is her only living child. Which leaves him and Kayla with the high cost of respectfully laying Brenda to rest. With their wedding quickly approaching I would like to try to lift some of the stress, and financial burden from them during this difficult time.
