Hi, my name is Jennifer. I am very saddened and am in need of help to raise money for my brother's memorial. Dear friends and family of Steve Hawkes, this LFEBridge page has been set up to offset the cost of family, medical, and funeral expenses. Steve had been struggling with ongoing health issues over the past few months and was actively seeking treatment to address his concerns about the pain and discomfort he was experiencing. Steve had been feeling elevated nausea throughout the weekend and on the evening of July 9th he drove himself to the emergency room. In the early hours of the morning on July 10th he was rushed to the ICU due to extreme complications. On July 11, 2024, we received the shocking news that my brother, Steve Hawkes, had unexpectedly passed away despite all life-saving measures that were performed. My brother, Steve Hawkes, was faithful, loving, kind, and the hardest-working man I know. He was loyal to the core to his Savior Jesus Christ and to his family. Steve was recently involved with a program employing justice-involved individuals transitioning back into the workforce, many of whom worked personally for him in his self-started home improvement business. Steve had an amazing gift of connecting with people of all walks of life which spanned from the East Coast to the West Coast. Steve loved to share his gift of guitar playing and song, most recently being involved in a local church on the worship team. Steve was the sole provider financially of his household which he shared with his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Steven Jr. Donations from this LFEBridge will be used for funeral expenses, outstanding medical bills, and any additional donations received will go towards rent for as many months as possible for his wife and son as they begin the transition to provide solely for themselves and their needs. Our confidence and peace is in knowing that Steve is home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he has heard the words "Well done my good and faithful servant". Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as prayers for Elizabeth, Steven, and the rest of Steve's family.
