Hi, I'm Mary and I'm raising money for my best friend, Starla. I am writing this through tears. If you know me, you know that Starla is my soulmate. I have never felt love the way I feel about this creature. She means everything to me, and I will do anything to extend our time together. On Wednesday evening (7/19), I brought Starla to the emergency vet. Since that time, the team at MASH (Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital) has been working around the clock to keep her stable. She is suffering from GI bleeding and the team still has not figured out what is causing the bleeding. She is making some progress but continues to need medical assistance to keep her safe. At this point, I am tapped out financially. Now, I do alright for myself, and I've worked pretty hard to afford the life I have, but even I have reached the point where I must ask for help. As many of you know, recently I had to move into a new apartment and I spent all of my savings on deposits/moving costs/furnishing. The rest of my income goes towards visiting and caring for my mother in Philadelphia. Any help at all is much appreciated. THANK YOU ALL!
