After hemming and hawing and putting it off for far too long, we have filed for our 501(c)3 to be reinstated. Hopefully this will help encourage donations, if not, we are sorry to say but after 20 years of rescue, we will be closing intake and shutting down. Our Director is currently working multiple jobs 7 days a week to ensure that the dogs in our program are not only fed and provided monthly prevention and Vet care, but also simply to have a roof over their heads. In between work hours, she meets with adopters, goes to Vet visits and squeezes in a few hours for family and personal dogs. She is not invincible and can no longer do it on her own. At the moment we have 7 dogs in our program, several of which will have sanctuary status unless the right home situation appears for them. An example would be Cooper who has severe storm anxiety and will very literally shred walls down if left unattended during a storm. We have emails and FB messages from about 10 individuals needing to rehome their Lab for varying reasons. We can not help a single one at the moment without the help of all of our friends and followers. Please help us continue to be able to rescue and provide safe housing for homeless dogs in our area.
