My name is Alyssa Webster. My grandmother Patricia Ann Webster lost her battle to lung cancer and passed away on June 28th, 2024. She was a well known woman in Lynn, she spent her life helping people and animals relentlessly. She worked at Union Variety on Union St in Lynn for years and years and was very well known in the city. She rescued cats and dogs from abusive homes or being abandoned, often times boarding them at her own home until she found a family for them. She sponsored many people in AA meetings all over Lynn, she volunteered at My Brothers Table all the time. She spent her life giving but passed away with no financial assets left to cover any costs as she lived on housing and social security, barely scraping by. My sister and I are the only people left living in her family as she lost her husband, and both of her sons. We do not have the money to even cover simple cremation services, and I’m having a baby in less than two weeks. Her body is at Goodrich Funeral Home and we have no way to lay her to rest and receive her ashes so we can begin to properly grieve. We miss her so very much and it’s painful to think of how to pay for these basic cremation costs while also having to take care of her apartment and her belongings. Any donations at all are absolutely appreciated, we would be beyond grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read, nothing I say will ever hold her in the light she deserves. She was a hero to so many, and the strongest woman I know.
