Roger Wayne Murry, the son of Donald Rolla and Mary Elaine (Perry) Murry, was born February 24, 1957, in Fairfax, Missouri. Roger attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, graduating in 1975. On January 1, 1977, Roger was united in marriage to Sheila D. Brooker in Independence, Missouri. They became the parents of three children, Sheldon, Darrick, and Tiffany and made their home in Tarkio. Roger was employed by Chevy Garages and later Fletcher Motors as a machinic. Due to ill health, he retired in 1997. Roger enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Kyle Larson, and working on old cars. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Roger passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 66. Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by siblings, Romell Campbell and Ronald Murry. Survivors include wife, Sheila Murry, Tarkio; children, Sheldon (Michael) Herbst, Havelock, North Carolina, Darrick Murry, and Tiffany (Ira) Blum, both of Tarkio; grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Michael Herbst, Emily and Hunter Blum, and Rose Hall; siblings, Donnie (Cheryl) Murry, Kansas City, Missouri and Kay Hardy, Omaha, Nebraska; aunt, Sarah Hoffman; numerous nieces and nephews. Roger has recently had several complications with wounds and amputations and is currently in the hospital. Sheila his wife is his full -time caregiver while she works full time at Tarkio Rehab. With Roger being in the hospital the time off work has put the family’s finances under stress.
