We at the American Catch Wrestling Association (ACWA) want to do what we can to elevate and spread the sport of Catch Wrestling and to do that we believe in not only creating but traveling to compete in Catch Wrestling events; what better to do than to travel to England to compete in the prestigious World Championships organized by the legendary Snake Pit. We have gathered a star-studded team to do just that, but we need help from YOU to get us over there. Our lineup consists of: 63kg (138.8) - John Wang-Kim (Multiple Amateur MMA titles, 1-0 as a pro) 68kg(149.8lbs) - Victor Henry (Current UFC fighter, Billy Robinson Invitational tournament champ, King of Catch wrestling class and open champ) 74kg(163lbs) - Tsvetomir Todorov (IMMAF World Champion) 82kg (181lbs) - Spike Carlyle (Pro MMA fighter: RIZIN, Bellator, UFC) 90kg (198lbs - Brett Pfarr (NCAA D1 Runner-up, 2x All-American for University of Minnesota) 100kg (220lbs) - David Waters (ACWA HWT Round-Robin tournament champ, 6th Freestyle US Open Masters, NAIA All-American) 125kg (275.5) - Tony Nelson (2x NCAA D1 Champ, 4x All-American, Freestyle Third in U.S. World Team Trials 2017) Assembling and coaching this team will be: Feargus McTeggart (Head coach - Brea Wrestling, 30+ years of coaching wrestling) Josh Barnett (2018 Snake Pit World champ, 2018 LPW Catch champ, former UFC HWT champ, 2009 IBJJF No-Gi World champ, Metamoris HWT champ, 10th King of Pancrase) Joel Sharrat (Former head coach - Navy & Air Force, D1 champ 1994, 2x D1 runner-up, 2x Team Capt - Iowa Hawkeyes) Scott Craft (Head coach - Rim of the World high school) We believe we have what it takes to come home with the gold with our team of top notch athletes, highly experienced and dedicated coaching staff, and hopefully with some help from you out there to help us meet our funding goals - we can bring back the gold to the US. Where you come in is to help us cover the expenses of sending over a full team of athletes and coaching staff. 100% of these donations will go toward expenses for the trip like: Flights, Hotel rooms, Food, Competition wear, Entry fees, and other realted costs. With such funding we can send a US Team to England and showcase these incredible athletes.
