You know her. You love her. She serves our communities day and night. She’s lifted us all up in one way or another, in our moments of deepest need and our everyday moments. Let us lift Kate up and send her on a creative adventure of a lifetime!!! Last year at the US Masters synchro competition, Kate was reunited with Audra, her childhood synchro friend from almost 30 years prior. She immediately dreamed of partnering with Audra to swim a duet. Before Kate could approach Audra, Audra asked Kate if she would like to swim together at the World Masters Synchro Championships in Japan in 2024! What could Kate say, but an emphatic “YES!” Ever since then, Audra and Kate have been traveling between LA and Tucson to choreograph and practice their original synchro pieces. They are now putting the finishing touches on their creations down to the sparkling rhinestones on their suits. Following the opportunity to swim in Japan, Kate has been invited on a scuba diving trip to Bali with Audra (also a phenomenal underwater photographer). In preparation, Kate achieved her scuba diving certification just this past weekend after weeks of classes and training. She is ready to gooooo! As the time to travel to Japan and Bali in August approaches, the financial enormity of this creative dream is setting in. What Kate and Audra are creating is SO beautiful!
