Hi everyone, my son has done what he set his heart out to do. He made it to the Junior Olympics Championship in Eugene, Oregon! He qualified after taking home the gold this weekend in both the 100 m and 200 m dash at the Region 2 championship. At this next level, He will be running at the renowned Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. To say we are so very proud of him is an understatement. He stepped onto the track for the first time his freshmen year of high school and he has been on fire about the sport ever since. As he enters his Junior year of high school he is beginning to think about his hopes for running at the college level. This would be a great opportunity for him to be seen as this event is one of the most visible athletic development programs in the world. With his advancement he will be expected to stay in Oregon from 7/25-7/30 which involves room and board for the week and plane tickets for him And his dad. We estimate the total for this trip to be around $3500 and we need your help to make it happen. Due to my daughter having extensive medical needs/bills and my husband recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis our finances have been really tight. My husband was taken out of work and I am now the sole financial provider.Although things have been very difficult for us, my son always brings us so much joy everytime he is on and off the track. His positive spirit, dedication, and most importantly his faith in God speaks volumes. We want nothing but the best for him. With that being said it is so important that my son get the opportunity to attend this event, an opportunity he has worked so hard for.I am asking all donations be sent to my sister, Shelly, as she is helping him get set up with everything track and field related.
