Hi, my name is Wendy Hall. My first self- written and illustrated children's book has been excepted for publishing by all six of the publishers to whom I have sent it! However, they all require about $5000 dollars to do so. My husband and I, both artists who have made our livings in the social- services, now in our later 60s are still living paycheck to paycheck. In these times when our planet is threatened with the ravages of climate change and youth spend increasing amounts of time isolated behind computer screens, I believe it is urgent that we reignite a reverence for the outdoors and for the people with whom we share our world. Do YOU believe children could be inspired to explore nature and community by viewing richly colored art and reading true stories revealing the magic waiting to be discovered?
