Cotswold Equestrian Academy are a 5 star riding establishment in Bretforton, Evesham. The centre provides riding lessons, stable management and therapeutic activities for many children and adults. We are raising funds to help us through a very difficult time as we are currently in the midst of a strangles outbreak, and are unable to to operate our riding centre. We are closed to all public to ensure the safety and well being of our horses, as well as those in our local area. We have 1 isolated case who is under veterinary care and intend to keep it this way. Children who attend our centre are all given opportunities to learn new skills, improve their communication, to work as a team and build their confidence and self esteem. As part of the Cotswold Academy, children learn in a supportive and nurturing environment, allowing them to develop and grow as riders and individuals. With the school holidays being our busiest time of year, we are all devasted, not only for the huge financial hit, but for all the children that will now be unable to attend our centre this summer. Missing out on all the benefits our centre has to offer. Whilst we are closed to the public during this difficult time, outgoing costs remain the same. Without our lesson programme and summer activities, we are struggling to see how we will survive and meet all of our animals needs. Here is a breakdown of just some of our upcoming monthly costs: Hay - £600 Bedding - £240 Feed - £480 Farrier - £500 Wages - £4000 Bills - £3800 This does not include any vets bills, maintenance etc. Please help us get through this challenging and emotional time and enable us to reopen when we have the all clear from our vets.
