Hi! My name is Sarah Maguire and I have been given the opportunity to represent Canada in the America’s North tournament for Rugby League. This tournament will help build our country’s standings and players’ skills before our next World Cup. This tournament will take place in Kingston, Jamaica, where we will take on the USA and Jamaica. As a female athlete, a lot of our costs to partake in camps, games and the possibility of representing our country is out of our own pockets, which often causes players to give up on opportunities like these. As a mother, I take immense pride in showing my children how to chase big dreams, all while breaking down barriers for high-level athletes who are moms! The funds I raise will help pay for my flights, accommodations, meals and tournament fees.
