My name is Amber and I am a long-time family friend of over 36 years. I have known Sara and Sofi since they were little and with Sofia and Amparo's approval I set up this fundraiser. Our querida Sara.... On Friday, July 28th, 2024, we received the most devastating news. Our sweet, beautiful, amazing friend/sister/daughter/tita passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. We are shattered, heartbroken to say the least. Sara leaves behind her sister, Sofi, her mom Amparo, her niece, and her dad. This is the most tremendous loss and unimaginable pain and her family needs your support. Unfortunately, there were no burial benefits available to Sara, and due to the completely shocking turn of events, the family is left to pick up all of the pieces in a very difficult time. To honor Sara and her memory, a memorial service is being planned, both in the US and abroad. Arrangements must be made and her affairs need to be settled here and in Spain where she had dual citizenship. Sara was very connected, loved, and passionate about her family in Spain. Taking part of her remains to Spain for her Abuela and family to grieve and process would be what Sara would have wanted. Therefor, we are raising funds for Sofi, Amparo, and Anci to take the remains to their family there and hold a memorial in her honor. Please consider donating to this cause. No amount is too small.
