My sister, brother-in-law and our families had our lives forever changed 2 weeks ago when my nephew Ryan was killed in a motorcycle accident. He was just 18, had just graduated high school, found a job he loved and was in a budding relationship. Just starting to thrive and find his place in this world. As if losing one son wasn't bad enough my brother in laws ex wife has essentially kidnapped their youngest son, taken him out of state and is refusing to give him back. They have not even been able to see or hold him since his brother's death. Now on top of funeral expenses they have to hire a lawyer to help them get their other son back. They did not want a go fund, felt weird about taking money from people. Wanted to try to handle this alone as they are honest hard working people but the expenses are stacking up. They deserve to grieve and try to figure out how to live life without their son without all the pressures of the unexpected expenses. No one should have to go through this, especially not alone.
