My name is Chris and I’m running the London Marathon 2024 to help beat Pancreatic Cancer. Sadly, last year, my fiancé’s mother lost her battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 68 less than two months after being diagnosed. It was a shocking, devastating loss that I wouldn’t want any other family to have to go through. That's why I've made it my mission to run the 2024 London Marathon in her memory and to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Pancreatic cancer is a silent killer, with staggering statistics. Shockingly, only around 5 out of every 100 diagnosed survive for 5 years or more and more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. These numbers are terrifying, and they highlight the importance of early diagnosis and more research into ways to fight this devastating disease. Your donations will help to fund the crucial research needed for improved early detection methods and provide hope for those battling pancreatic cancer. With early diagnosis, we can offer more treatment options or more time to families, granting them the chance to create lasting memories with their loved ones. Join me in supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK. Your contribution will make a real difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. Together, we can invest in groundbreaking research, advocate for greater recognition, and be a voice for everyone in this fight. Thank you in advance for your generosity and for standing with us as we strive to beat pancreatic cancer. Let's make a meaningful impact together.
