Hi, I'm Joshua, and if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm an avid runner. The thrill of pounding the pavement, the rush of the wind against my face—it's an exhilarating experience that has become an integral part of who I am. But here's a twist in the tale: I also harbor a love for McDonald's. Yes, you read that right—those golden arches and the tempting aroma of burgers and fries call out to me just as strongly as the starting line of a race. Now, before you start wondering about the nutritional implications of my running regimen combined with my weakness for fast food, let me be clear: I'm under no illusion that my fondness for McDonald's is giving me any kind of athletic edge. In fact, it's quite likely that it’s doing more harm than good. But you know what? Love knows no bounds, and my heart belongs to both running and those delicious golden arches. So, why am I sharing this quirky revelation with you? Well, because I believe that even the most unexpected connections can lead to something beautiful. And that's exactly what I'm aiming for with my charity entry into the 2024 Tokyo Marathon. I've decided to combine my passion for running with my desire to help others. This time, my miles won't just be for my achievements; they'll be for families who are navigating some of life's toughest challenges. I'm proud to announce that I'm running for the Ronald McDonald House charity, an organization that provides a haven of comfort and support for families with seriously ill children. As I lace up my running shoes and train rigorously for the upcoming Tokyo Marathon, I'm also putting on my fundraising cap. I'm inviting you to be a part of this journey, to support me as I strive to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House. Your contribution, big or small, will not only fuel my determination to cross that finish line but will also make a tangible difference in the lives of families who are going through unimaginable challenges. So here's to running miles and spreading smiles, to chasing personal goals while lifting others. Join me in this unique adventure, as we make every step count for the Ronald McDonald House and the families it serves. Let's turn the unexpected into something truly impactful and show that love for both running and McDonald's can indeed bring about positive change. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful endeavor! With gratitude, Joshua ‍♂️
