Ruben Antonino Rivera was a loving and dedicated husband and father to his beautiful wife and three children. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, friend, co- worker, soon to be an official father- in- law and so much more. On August 1st, 2024 at 7:05pm, Ruben passed away peacefully in his hospital bed surrounded by his family after his second and final fight against cancer. Ruben has had a lifetime of ongoing medical illnesses that he has managed to overcome with such grace. From a young age, “Pollito”,as close family members call him, has been known to be a strong fighter with an enormous amount of internal strength and perseverance. Despite everything that he has persevered through, Ruben always managed to treat others with kindness and respect. We want Ruben to be remembered for the funny, intelligent and sweet man that he was. Ruben should be remembered as a devoted Raiders fan, shown through our black and silver painted garage. He loved taking his family camping and riding quads through the dunes. He loved his family and bringing everyone together. Ruben loved his 90’s Old School Hip Hop and was an amazing dancer, and was exceptionally good at pop and lock dance. Ruben should not only be remembered by not only this, but his deep love and care he had for others. Even on his worst day, Ruben always managed to show kindness and respect to others. We are now asking for the help from anyone who is willing and financially able to support our fundraising efforts to help alleviate the cost of his funeral expenses and to give him and his family the peace and time to heal and give him what he deserves.
