To all who read: With great sadness, we share the news of Ross Brown's passing. Ross peacefully passed away July 27th, surrounded by his loved ones. Ross graced the BART world with his infectious laugh and immense kindness over the past 10+ years in various roles. He started as a Train Operator in 2013, moving onto Operations Foreworker, Power Support Controller, and Operations Supervisor Liaison. Most recently, Ross promoted into a Coordinator role in the newly established Maintenance and Engineering Command Center. To know Ross is to know laughter and wit! Ross never missed an opportunity to tell a joke! He always greeted everyone with a smile and an immediate story of some sort. His laugh was loud and infectious, and his punch lines generally led to gut-busting laughter that was difficult to contain. In true BART fashion, we ask that you lend a shoulder of support to your fellow brother or sister during this difficult time. Ross has affected so many of us, and a hole has been left in our hearts due to his sudden departure. His kindness was comforting to all he encountered, and he will be truly missed! His true passion beyond the BART world was the love he gave to his family. As many of you know, his parents lived with him and his fiancé, Eileen. As they advanced in age, Ross spent most of his time caring for them and ensuring their well-being. With his untimely passing, the financial burden on his family will be tough. We want to share the link to the LFEBridge page set up in his honor. All proceeds will go to his family to handle whatever financial stress they may bear during this time. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated. An update on final arrangements will be provided when those plans are solidified. We thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers, love, and generosity. In unity,
