I’m writing this with a heavy, heavy heart. Yesterday morning (July 31), I was advised by my vet to bring Rocky to the ER due to continual gastrointestinal upsets. Rocky had gotten sick a couple of times starting in the beginning of July but was able to be treated with OTC medication, however, the sickness retuned a few days after medication was finished. I was completely shocked when the Doctor at the hospital told me his blood concentration along with other markers were not in range that was showing good health, and that he needed to be admitted for further testing and observation. Despite his age, Rocky has remained a highly active, energetic, healthy boy and this turn of health has been absolutely heart breaking. This is extremely hard for me to do as I am not one to ask for charity, but if you know me even a little bit, you know how connected I am to Rocky. How much I love and adore him, how he has been my lifeline for the past 12 years. He is my baby and it pains me to know that for the very first time, it’s becoming almost impossible for me to provide for him with how rapidly the bills are adding up at the hospital. Rocky is currently connected to a nasal gastric tube with the hopes that the fluid build up in his belly can be drained and taken off sedatives. We are hoping and praying that we can continue to get him the medical care he needs to make a full recovery. Any help and prayers that can be offered will be beyond deeply appreciated.
