Hi, my name is Madalynn Rhay. For those of you who know me, you know that my dogs are my life and right now my German Shepherd Rex is very very sick. We know that he has pharyngeal dysphasia and megaesophagus which causes him to have a lot of difficulty swallowing food and water, but why he has these issues is still a mystery, even after running many tests. On top of that he is having very bad diarrhea and vomiting. We discovered today that he has aspiration pneumonia, a secondary problem caused by his condition which will require hospitalization and a stay in the ICU. Insurance will not cover it and this is going to be very expensive so anything you can donate helps. Rex is the absolute sweetest dog I have ever had. He comforts me when I’m sad and constantly makes me laugh. He has saved me so many times and I would be so lost without him. I’m desperate for answers and I just need him to get better.
