Having four healthy boys, we expected nothing but the best when we found out we were expecting our 5th baby. Unfortunately just 3 days before my birthday, we got the news that our sweet baby was high risk for Trisomy 18. They had been spotting other random things that could have been possible factors but without the genetics testing they weren't sure. On March 31, the Denver Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor confirmed with 99% certainty that our baby did have Trisomy 18, a life-limiting diagnosis. We were given the option to terminate or see where this pregnancy went knowing we may never get to see our baby alive or even see them grow up. Knowing God has a plan for all babies, we decided to continue the pregnancy and see what God's plan was. We then were told we would need to travel to Denver (4 hours one way) every 4 weeks. We have been going back and forth with local resources as well as Denver resources and because of how rare it is that babies make it to term, there are very, very limited sources. I decided to make shirts through my business but not having much luck, we have turned to this as a last resort. If you know of places to get help please let us know. More than anything we ask for prayers for our sweet boy! We know God is a miracle worker but we also know that God has a plan and will for everything, and while His will is not for this sweet boy to suffer, we do not know His will at this time other than to show His Glory! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you guys do! We appreciate it and you guys. I do post updates as they come in on my FB page and try to post a comment on my Instagram as well and will do my best to remember to update here.
