my sweet little Ramona had to go to the emergency vet on 7/4 with profuse bleeding from her mouth. the vets attempted to sedate her to find the origin of the blood in her mouth, but her heart rate and blood pressure immediately dropped, so they were unable to complete the exam. the next day, she went to her regular vet for a follow up. she was given medicine, kisses, and sent home for us to observe so her mouth could begin healing. 2 days later, her mouth is bleeding much much more, she's developed severe anemia and had to go back to the emergency vet for an immediate transfusion. and that's where we are now her vet suspects a bleeding disorder, which will require more testing, so we're not done yet. we've both missed a significant amount of work and along with her insane vet bills, we've had to uber to and from each vet. it's gotten to the point that we are struggling quite a bit, mentally and financially. and the end is not yet in sight.
