Hi, my name is Emily Tomasello. I wrote a short horror film and plan to make my directorial debut shooting it early this summer in collaboration with many talented friends! We are raising funds to help cover general production expenses like but not limited to: - Food, water, coffee for cast and crew - Travel expenses (gas, ride shares, trains) for cast and crew - Technical equipment purchases and rentals - SFX materials - Any wardrobe or props that cannot be freely sourced Filmmaking has always been a passion and hobby of mine that brings joy and meaning into my life. I’ve been involved in creating many films and productions over the last 10+ years (ClownTown, The Mortician, The Widower, Mittens) and even was nominated for a few film festival awards, winning one for my SFX makeup work on the horror short “Mittens”. I dedicate incredible amounts of time and attention to everything I have the pleasure of working on, and take pride in what I can do. But, movies cannot be made on one person’s hard work alone; it takes casts and crews full of people with the drive to create things they love and are proud of, and it takes financial and emotional support. With that, my crew and I are asking for donations to help bring our vision to life! We plan to take the film to local festivals, pitch it as a finished product to Troma Films for them to distribute on their streaming platform, and advertise and sell hard copies at popular local horror conventions. Life has been stressful and rough on us all these last few years, and this past winter has hit especially hard for some of us. This film is an outlet for all that pent up creative energy, and a catalyst for the fun we deserve to have. Anything you can contribute will be appreciated and will help immensely!
