Prada is the best thing that has ever happened to me. She grew up with me in my college apartment, and is my little sidekick. I’ve watched her grow and i’ve been lucky enough to watch her personality shine through as a rescue. I never thought a dog would be able to make me laugh as much as she does. Prada got diagnosed with epilepsy about 6 months ago. It seemed like the worst thing ever but is now the least of our issues. Prada has just been diagnosed with Necrotizing Pancreatitis. Necrotizing Pancreatitis in dogs occurs suddenly, within 12 and 24 hours. In Pradas case, overnight. She has a sack of fluid around her pancreas. Right now, she’s under 24 hour care, which will soon be 48 hour care. Each of these nights being around $3000 per night with all of the fluids, medicine, and lab tests happening. Since there is no definitive cure for this, the longer she is in the hospital, the better chance of her making a full recovery. I never imagined something like this would happen to my little girl, but i’m hoping she can push through and be stronger than before.
