Hi, my name is Rachel. 2.5 years ago I adopted Posey before she was sent to a kill shelter in Oakland, California. Since then we have moved to Seattle and have been having the greatest adventures. Posey is the light of every room she walks into and loves to snuggle, eat treats, squeaking her toys and especially roll in the grass on our daily walks. Posey filled a hole in the hearts of myself and her Chihuahua sister Poppy and while she is the biggest bed hog she is also the sweetest girl. I adopted her not knowing about the tumor but was assured by several vets it would not be an issue, well, now it is. In the last 3 weeks, it has almost tripled in size resulting in severely inflamed and slightly bleeding skin. Her current vet says she is in perfect health besides this tumor but is afraid of the potential of it bursting. This is now going to be almost twice as expensive as originally thought even with her pet insurance. Posey has so much more life and love left to give, please help if you are able. All funds will go to her surgery costs.
