今日は! Hello! I am a junior at San Jose State University majoring in International Business and have been accepted by Sophia University in Japan. I am also a part of my campus’ International Business Association Club. Having the desire to connect with other students on campus who are interested in innovation, international business, and entrepreneurship inspired me to expand my horizons. So, I've decided to immerse myself in another culture to gain real-life experience while earning a college degree. I love traveling and desire to become fluent in multiple languages including Japanese which is why I felt that Japan was the perfect place that combined all of my strengths and passions. I also feel that being an exchange student at Sophia University would be a great first step in my career. In the future, I hope to work for a company doing business abroad or that has international headquarters. I am doing everything in my power to personally fund this educational endeavor by working a full-time job while being a full-time student before I depart for my program. Currently, I have accumulated $3,600 to cover my tuition but I know I will need more help. So, any donation, no matter the size, will bring me closer to this truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. During my abroad program, I will be living in the heart of Tokyo and immersing myself as a student. I hope to gain enough cultural exposure by traveling to various regions within Japan. My goal is to become an Ambassador for students back at my home college and guide future study-abroad students in their endeavors. What these funds will cover (5 months worth of expenses): Transportation: $1,500 Housing & Meals: $3,600 Books & Supplies: $500 Health Insurance: $400 Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
