Hello friends. As some may know, our cat Walder was diagnosed with diabetes a few months ago. Since then we have learned that he is insulin-resistant, due to a pituitary growth. The treatment for this condition includes at least one CT or MRI and 1-2 rounds of radiation. We do have pet insurance, but we have to pay out-of-pocket before we can submit a claim and get reimbursed, and even then, insurance doesn’t cover everything. This really couldn’t have come at a worse time. I am going through a period of transition as I finish grad school and start preparing for the licensing exam and begin looking for a job. I went back to school to get my family to a place of financial security, but I’m not quite there yet. If you have met me before, you probably already know how much I love cats. I would sacrifice anything to get Walder the help he needs. He is so loved, by not only my partner and I, but also his kitty friends Ambrosia and Zizzou. When we rescued him, he was four years old and had been living on the streets of NYC. I just want to give him the best, fullest life possible. Please, please, if you are able, please help our baby. Thank you and lots of love, Cass
