Hi, my name is Kris and I’m fundraising on behalf of the Palminteri/Lever family for cremation expenses so they can lay Frank Palminteri to rest. It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Frank Palminteri. He had been in hospice since the beginning of the year and passed away this morning. While they mourn his departure they face an unexpected challenge in honoring his memory. Frank didn’t have life insurance or make any advanced plans, leaving the family in a difficult position to provide him with a proper final resting place. Frank was a US Army veteran and the VA was contacted to see if they could help with expenses. They were told that at the most they could maybe help with $300 to $500. That money would not come in till much later as a reimbursement, which wouldn’t even cover half of the cost. If the funds cannot be raised his body will become property of the county and he’ll be buried in a pauper’s field. His family is navigating these uncharted waters as best as they can, and are determined to ensure that Frank’s final journey is a dignified one. In these trying times they turn to friends, extended family and community for support. Every contribution, be it whatever you can will make a difference.
