Hi everyone, I've never done one of these before so my sincere apologies for asking you all for help, but I am not prideful enough to not. Stanley and myself need your support in getting him back on his feet. I had to take the big guy to the emergency vet late this evening, he's been having difficulty breathing and sleeping recently, barely able to rest for a short period before sitting upright, it's taken a toll on him and however much of a brave face he put on, you could see he was fatigued and tired. I caught him falling asleep sitting upright this evening and breathing more heavily than usual, so I decided to take him in, to say it was upsetting is an understatement, seeing your pup, who has been your life since moving to a new country in distress, is heartbreaking. They are keeping him in overnight with oxygen and presented myself with a ton of tests they need to run on him, especially around his heart and lungs (they explained his heart sounds very muffled and quiet), X-rays and blood tests are a few of the tests they will need to complete as well as some additional tests that may be needed after the fact. I have had Stanley since he was 4 weeks old, he used to completely fit across my leg, he is now nearly 10 years old and 90lbs and is the sweetest, most loving, caring big guy you will ever meet, and I know the people he has met, has touched them with how loving he is. We really need your help to make sure he gets the best care and medication he needs to get him back on his feet. On a personal note, anything at all that you can donate, that helps me with the current and upcoming expenses, I will be forever grateful from the bottom of my heart. The big guy means the world to me, and not having him waiting for me when I get home will crush me.
