BUASAWAN is an injured sweet 8 year old female elephant that i visited with at a local animal hospital in Thailand. I was volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in spring of 2024 after working on a movie for Netflix before heading back to the states. She fell into a canal damaging her spinal cord and incurred a-lot of injuries. She was brought to a local small hospital temporarily until she could be moved to a larger facility specializing in her injuries. Unfortunately since Covid the donations and funding for the transfer of the elephant dried up. When I visited with her I brought a truck load of fresh vegetables and oat milk with another amazing volunteer and they let us give this sweet elephant the milk. During my visit She hugged me with her trunk and really brightened up. I whispered to her a promise, that I would help her. An elephant never forgets and I always honor my promises. So here I am asking you all to PLEASE HELP ME HELP THIS SWEET GIRL. Your donations can change her life, so whatever you can give will help tremendously. Buasawan currently receives electrical muscle stimulation to keep her from atrophying but at the bigger facility she would receive so much more! Water therepy, special spinal cord treatments and bedding designed for this type of injury and round the clock care. Her quality of life would improve 100% and help her have joy and movement again. Your donations will pay for her transfer and her new treatments awaiting her at her new home. The transfer is quite complicated. A special crane is required to move her, plus a specific truck rental that will house the medical staff and assistants that need to be with her on the journey to keep her medicated, comfortable and safe. Once the money is raised I will fly to Thailand to support Buasawan's tranfer and document her journey. Elephants are divine and magnificent creatures.
