Milky is a two year old girl found roaming alone around a villa in Al Ain. She had been dumped there few days earlier by another cruel and irresponsible owner. Dirty, underweight and sick, she was noticed by the kind resident of the villa, who unfortunately could not take her in and contacted us. We rushed to rescue this very gentle young girl who entered easily in our car and straight away showed us her gratitude and loving nature. Upon arrival at the vet clinic, we found out Milky (it is the name we gave to her during the transportation) was not only malnourished and dehydrated, she also had contracted a mortal virus : Feline panleukopenia.... (one of our main fear when we rescue) She was immediately isolated and received intensive care. During the first week we didn't know if she would make it or not, her vitals were subjected to ups and downs, her will to survive was put to a tough test. It was a very stressful period for all of us. Luckily she turned out to be a fighter and after several days with recurring high fever, she has finally recovered, thanks to the help of the vet team and of course our love and prayers. But like any rescue, also this one came at a very high cost for us, as you can see from the bills attached. While Milky is enjoying life again at the home of a wonderful foster mum, we are really struggling to pay the bills we accumulated to save her life. In addition, we have to pay for the next treatments already planned (vaccinations - neutering). This is amounting to a total of 5,921 AED. We already gave 1,600 AED, but need urgent help for the rest. (4321 AED). Please donate the value of a coffee, a meal, whatever you can to help us to cover this cost to save Milky's life. On behalf of this affectionate kitty, incredibly loving despite the suffering imposed on her by the previous owner, THANK YOU ❤️
