Hello, My name is Kyle and I am 17 years old. I will be getting ready to start my senior year of high school in August, and currently working on obtaining my private pilots license. I will be enrolled at a College flight school in Minnesota for the 2024/2025 school year, right after my high school graduation in May of 2024. I have been working hard on my grades taking AP classes and maintaining a 3.0 average. Active in sports, and working part time. There is a great need for more professional commercial pilots and I would like to help offset that need by becoming a professional pilot with your kind assistance. I have saved during the years to achieve this goal along with my parents help as well, making this career dream, a reality. The private pilots license starts my way to becoming a professional pilot but there are other financial obstacles I must overcome in the next few years even working part time and both my parents working a second part time job to help offset the extreme cost associated with becoming a professional pilot. I would appreciate any financial assistance you would extend to me to help offset these upcoming and future expenditures. The cost of housing and schooling as in (classroom), books, etc.,is not really the issue for me, it’s primarily the cost of flight time, being the amount of hours needed for the various levels I must pass to move up to obtain my commercial license. These levels vary in costs based on the equipment and planes I will train on. I hope to give back to my community and encourage other young adults to pursue their dreams as well, to answer the need to our current pilot shortage, with other shortages in teaching, medical, and other groups of professionals. At some point within the next 3 years I will work as a flight instructor with a local company helping and guiding others as well.
