Rest in Peace. Thomas W Estep 8-2-54 8-12-23 The beginning 7/31: As we know my Father Thomas W Estep was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer in January. He has been a warrior but he has taken a turn for the worse, last week he was admitted to Christiana and has since come home with hospice care. The Drs at the time have him 4-8 weeks. Yesterday we were informed that things have changed and could have up to two weeks. Our hearts are breaking as we try to do everything in our power to give him the best care and love on his final days. My mother and I have missed a lot of work to be here with him and his medical bills are collecting on us, as well as him not having life insurance this has been a hard time for all of us and we are asking for everyone to help donate something to give him a proper funeral and help pay off some hospital bills. We thank all of you for being there for us and helping us through this difficult time. We love you daddy and wish this was one big bad dream. All donations will be direct deposited every week into mom and dad's joint bank account. Thank you to all that donate !! Update 8/5 Dad has had some improvements but also has other complications as well so we are just going day by day now to see if there's any changes... We pray we get a miracle but we also know the reality... We have nurse here everyday and aids every other along with social workers and Chaplins... Thanks to donations we are at now we were able to pay for all medications needed this month supplies for him pads, wipes etc. As well as helping us be able to provide some extra care for him. He got to see his band brothers. ❤️ #racersforever Update 8/9 Nurse says we are day to day right now.. dad is retaining a lot of fluid his appetite is getting small having a hard time with moving.. we are doing everything in our power to keep him comfortable and not in pain. We know that the inevitable is getting closer... So please if you cannot donate please keep us in your prayers and help share this go fund me page for us. Thank you all. Final update 8/12 Dad went peacefully this morning at 1132am with all of us beside him this man gave it all and then some. He did not deserve to go out like this. We find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and as we told him he will be forever with us. He left us faster than we all wanted since finding out in January it just seems like time has moved so fast... Beyond grateful for having the chance to have him home with us and fulfilling his final wishes. Now we need all the help that we can get more than ever. Please help my mother in any way you can, she just lost the love of her life her best friend her twin flame. This man was our Rock our hero our you can do it all man.. it still feels so unrealistic.
