Hey everyone. I am not one to start one of these...however alot of us have learned through the power of prayer and everyone together can make a difference to help people, good caring people in there time of being down. I will start from the beginning since that's what this is about Several weeks back Jay swallowed one of my mother’s dialysis bandages this is a big bandage with cotton packing A few days later he finally threw it up. After treatment he "seemed" to be better but never fully himself. Last week he started throwing up a few days. Denise watched of course on his every move after the 3rd time of a with throwing up she took him back to him vet. His vet did blood work and xrays came to the conclusion his tummy was inflamed and slightly anemic treatment was to put him on a bland doggy diet and antibiotics as this week went on Jay got sicker. He went from eating to not eating and his stool is black he is weak and falling over...more than normal as hes a very goofy smush. Yesterday July 7 - 7pm We took him back to his vet they ran more blood as they were concerned his gums were white and pale the blood results where not as we hoped. His blood had dropped 11 points in 6 days as well as 6lbs since this all started from day 1. Putting him now in full anemic status. Treatment was the give him fluid and they ran a house scan on his belly. They felt something was going on in his GI tract a possible bleed , cancer . They decided to give him fluids send home for the night and come back this morning for the scan. The Dr found nothing on his scan this morning to add more wonder to the worry. He is severely full of inflammation still. They have recommended Garden State Animal Hospital which is the best in the state and of course the most expensive he is getting top care. We take him to GS this afternoon. They recommended more scans they feel will show and get answers if anything the report was more detailed more and I will post all reports but bottom line they wanted to admit him try a concoction of meds to get that inflammation down. See if he responds to the meds...we are still at unknown and this not over. I will continue to update but I'm going be real with you all. My little sister doesn't deserve this. This boy is her king and the king of our home. To be watching a strong ass womans world crashing apart in front of me and that's my sister is breaking my heart. That's my Jay Jay in there. We don't know where this is going to go,we are moving day by day. However, the hospital is asking for more funds every time we change a treatment plan for him and add more tests/meds. Guys anything you can do for my little sister I'd so appreciate it. We know the power of the people and what a few donations coming together can help someone in there time of need. Jay and Denise and there unique special bond he is Denise's world they are always together and not the typical way he is in the front seat right next to her , he sits at our dinner table in his own chair, like the King he is. He in our pool swimming along with us, I realize life can be short sometimes but I need to help try to make a little his life a little longer for them as they are not done making memories. Tomorrow is a new day and hopefully we get good news in this awful time. This is about Jay getting the care he needs and Denise has maxed her care credit already. Anything anyone can do would be so appreciated for my sissy and Jay. Power in numbers! I will as well post the bill and where it is now as well. Update July 9 1pm Update: He is coming home for the night. The Drs wanna do another scan on his GI tract in the AM however they fed him this morning and we need a empty belly for the next scan. We will not leave him at the vet to fast and the Dr agrees he is ok to come home and fast here. Continue to Pray. ❤️ Thank you all for everything! Going to home love this boy...scam 11am Sunday morning UPDATE JULY 15 When we picked Jay up on Saturday he was like a puppy! All good to go. Within three days he started to slow down again. It seems to be two issues going on. The GI issue ( going off the poop) seems to be better. No black! However he is very severely anemic. This could be from a few different things. He has been on a course of meds including steroids. It seemed to be helping. But not enough. At this point our next option is a blood transfusion. Non surgical. Same like people. Will have an IV with blood for a few hours. We may even be able to bring him home same day. This transfusion is our last chance to save him. This could fix the issue. It could only by him some time. How much time? No one knows. However without it his time is limited that I do know. So that is where we are at! Keep him in your prayers. We are all fighting so hard to keep him here and as healthy as he can be!
